Improve API performance by adding caching

The processing time has been improved when you request information via the Cin7 API.

Improve API error handling

We have made improvements to the Cin7 API to reduce the amount of errors. This includes:

  • New error for an order with any date fields with numbers outside the 1700-9999 range.
  • Null exceptions set to 0 as if they were empty (instead of ““ or a different value).
  • No tax status set on an order will be set as undefined.

 

Integrations

Removed the fulfillment_service from the Shopify Settings

Shopify has deprecated their API endpoint “fulfillment_service” and we made the necessary updates in order to stay compliant with Shopify’s requirements.

Now, when you download a sales order with a line item fulfilled by a Shopify fulfillment service, the name of that fulfillment service is no longer saved to the notes of that line item on the sales order in Omni. We’ve removed the fulfillment_service option from the Line Items settings in your Shopify integration settings, which means that it will no longer appear on the Sales Order.

You can still upload stock levels to your Shopify fulfillment service.

We’ve mapped the carrier names “Fastway AU,” “Fastway,” and “ARAMEX” to the approved Shopify carrier Aramex NZ. Now, when you update the fulfillment statuses of orders using these carriers from Cin7 Omni, they will appear with the updated status in Shopify and show the carrier as Aramex NZ.

Show incoming stock date

Your B2B Online Store can now show when out-of-stock products are next arriving in your store. You can choose if the ETD from a purchase order will appear on the product details page.

This encourages customers to buy now to reserve stock if the timeframes match their needs.

Receive order confirmation emails (BCC)

Users can increase the visibility of customer orders to multiple team members by copying customer order confirmation emails to themselves or your team. You can add up to four email addresses that will be BCC’d in customer email confirmations.

Synchronize twelve months of accounting transactions and payments

Upgrades to our Xero and QuickBooks Online integrations to synchronize transactions and payments from the past 12 months. The previous limit for most transaction types was 90 days.

Display calculated unit price for options with multiple units of measure (e.g. single units or a 5 pack)

B2B customers can view the price for each UOM item. For example, you may sell 1 t-shirt for $10, or 5 t-shirts for $45. Customers can now see both prices, instead of just the $45 bulk price. This price will show on the product detail page, the cart, and the order confirmation email.

Your Xero integration now downloads Xero branding themes.

Apply a Xero branding theme to a Cin7 Omni customer and that customer’s invoices and credit notes will have that branding theme applied in Xero. Find out how to download and apply branding themes.

Customer routing for e-commerce orders

Released customer routing for sales orders downloaded from Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce.

Previously, when you downloaded e-commerce sales orders to Omni, you could have them automatically assigned to one default customer. Now you can choose a default customer for each branch so that your sales orders are assigned to a unique default customer depending on what branch (or distribution branch) fulfills the sales order.

Customer routing only works in conjunction with branch routing.

Foreign currency transaction enhancements

Released two improvements to foreign currency transactions (transactions denominated in a foreign currency).

Your foreign currency sales order and purchase orders now display the time and date the effective exchange rate was set. And on a foreign currency purchase order, you can now set a fixed exchange rate that won’t update with the market. Find out more about foreign currency transactions.
