The Cin7 product will now be Cin7 Omni; DEAR will be Cin7 Core, and the Cin7 Orderhive name will not change.

The changes are the culmination of the acquisition of DEAR Systems and Orderhive in 2021, says Cin7 CEO David Leach.

“The single brand with three incredible products will position Cin7 as the number one inventory management brand in the world,” Leach says. “Each of our products is uniquely tailored for a particular set of customer needs.”

Leach says the branding change will immediately boost Cin7’s growth by eliminating costly duplication of marketing, sales, and partner materials and efforts, without affecting existing products or customer relationships.

“Customers who know and love DEAR — now Cin7 Core — can be assured that the product remains the same, with a redoubled focus on usability and customer experience,” Leach says.

Cin7 is now set to become the world’s number one inventory management brand and the top choice for product sellers that want a modern, integrated, scalable and efficient platform for all their business operations. Our core mission and purpose remain the same as ever: to empower product sellers to thrive.

Cin7 Announces DEAR Advanced Manufacturing Capability To Make It Simple for Manufacturers to Move to the Cloud https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-announces-dear-advanced-manufacturing-capability-to-make-it-simple-for-manufacturers-to-move-to-the-cloud/ https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-announces-dear-advanced-manufacturing-capability-to-make-it-simple-for-manufacturers-to-move-to-the-cloud/#respond Tue, 12 Jul 2022 15:26:50 +0000 https://www.cin7.com/?post_type=newsroom&p=38489 Cin7, a pioneer in cloud-based inventory management software (IMS), today announced DEAR Advanced Manufacturing module, allowing customers to accurately reflect their manufacturing activities in their inventory management system and accounting records. With DEAR Advanced Manufacturing module, customers are able to plan production according to resource capacity, trace components through the entire production process, define production bills of materials (BOM), trigger production orders from sales, and more.

Manufacturing at any scale involves a complex dance of moving parts – components, labor, overhead costs, wastage, BOM, and interdependent production operations – which can be especially burdensome for small- and medium-sized businesses. Many businesses often scale manufacturing operations faster than back office administrators can keep up with, making it a substantial administrative burden to keep accurate account records for stock on hand, wastage, and work in progress. This latest innovation allows businesses with in-house production to seamlessly combine their manufacturing activities with their financial records, stock levels, and sales channels.

“With our latest update, DEAR’s complete manufacturing, inventory, warehouse management, and ecommerce solution provides all the high-value capabilities of an ERP – without the hassle, manual work, and headaches,” said Doug LaBahn, Chief Marketing Officer, Cin7. “This innovation combines everything a business needs for made-to-order and batch manufacturing in one place for a couple hundred dollars per month, while also bringing together all other functions required to run a very profitable business, such as accounting, sales, purchasing, inventory, production planning, and more.”

Several hundred customers – including Paul’s Homemade – have been using the capabilities provided by the DEAR Advanced Manufacturing module for months in a beta program run by Cin7.

“The best thing is the simplicity. We’ve looked at other manufacturing software, but DEAR takes away so much of the complexity on the production side of things. DEAR’s Advanced Manufacturing just makes things make sense,” said Amon Mbulo, Head of Systems and Web Development, Paul’s Homemade. “I’d recommend it to large-scale manufacturers and anyone selling products direct-to-consumer. All in all, it’s a great system to use.”

DEAR Advanced Manufacturing module combines powerful production features with inventory management, accounting, and integration with sales channels for a complete solution.

Additional features include:

  • Visualize and rearrange production schedules
  • End-to-end traceability of components from raw materials to finished product
  • Make to Order production for customizable products
  • Describe complex, multi-step production processes, such as:
    • Phantom BOM
    • Nested production BOMs
    • Full and partial co-manufacturing
    • Production BOMs with multiple finished products
  • Dedicated mobile application for shopfloor staff (MES app)
  • Since acquiring DEAR Systems and Orderhive in 2021, Cin7 has become the leading SaaS provider of inventory and order management software for a wide variety of product sellers.

Cin7 Launches Bundled Intuit Offering at Scaling New Heights https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-launches-bundled-intuit-offering-at-scaling-new-heights/ https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-launches-bundled-intuit-offering-at-scaling-new-heights/#respond Thu, 16 Jun 2022 15:23:47 +0000 https://www.cin7.com/?post_type=newsroom&p=38487 Cin7, a pioneer in cloud-based inventory management software (IMS), today announced a new integrated cloud solution with Intuit, the global technology platform behind QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mint, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. This new offering has been officially released at Scaling New Heights, a leading accounting technology conference and one of the largest gatherings of certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors in the world.

Companies that expand sales channels must modernize their inventory and accounting technology in a seamless, integrated and cost-effective way. But the fear and hesitancy of moving legacy systems to the cloud is holding companies back from thriving. Adding new technologies can be often cumbersome, expensive and ultimately ineffective if the data isn’t accessible or actionable. This has hindered migration away from burdensome, on-premise and inflexible ERP systems.

As an alternative to ERP, Cin7 DEAR and Intuit have introduced a new cloud-native combination of leading inventory management and accounting software. The first of its kind, the DEAR Advanced plan is the DEAR Standard plan with QuickBooks Online Advanced edition included, to provide one integrated solution. This delivers multichannel sellers a seamless accounting and manufacturing inventory experience to grow and support their businesses by streamlining the following actions:

  • Track raw materials for manufacturing
  • Make one-of-a-kind custom products
  • Track items with serial numbers
  • Use dropshipping
  • Measure items by weight

The bundle is available for $4,500 per year, providing enormous value to small businesses at a highly competitive price point versus ERPs which start at $40,000 per year. The average yearly savings to sellers is $35,500 per year.

“We’ve had a great relationship with Intuit for more than 10 years, and thousands of our customers use QuickBooks Online with our online ecommerce and inventory management solutions,” said Doug LaBahn, Chief Marketing Officer, Cin7. “Our expanded relationship has increased our access and collaboration with Intuit product, support and partner development teams, ensuring we always provide the best possible product experiences and services. The results of these collaborations are frequent improvements to our services and the addition of new capabilities to help product sellers and experts achieve even more.”

“This DEAR and QuickBooks Online Advanced solution presents a powerful pathway to the cloud for businesses using QuickBooks Desktop with heavy inventory tracking,” said Joe Woodard, CEO of Woodard Consulting Group. “Our firm will be moving hundreds of QuickBooks Desktop users to DEAR, with QuickBooks Online Advanced, over the coming months, and we are excited to be part of their digital transformation!”

Cin7 will be onsite at Scaling New Heights next week to launch the bundle and explain how it best benefits product sellers. To learn more about the bundle at the conference, visit Cin7 at booth 28.

Cin7 Releases Pre-Built Automation Tech Stacks to Accelerate Product Seller Success https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-releases-pre-built-automation-tech-stacks-to-accelerate-product-seller-success/ https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-releases-pre-built-automation-tech-stacks-to-accelerate-product-seller-success/#respond Wed, 11 May 2022 16:01:52 +0000 https://www.cin7.com/?post_type=newsroom&p=32085 Built on analysis of 14,000 eCommerce and product selling businesses, Cin7 Orderhive powers effective automation and scale

DENVER, CO / ACCESSWIRE / May 10, 2022 / Cin7, a pioneer in cloud-based inventory management software (IMS), today announced new inventory management automation tech stacks for Cin7 Orderhive. The pre-built, best practice automation stacks leverage terabytes of data from the Cin7 platform and show where companies sit along an automation maturity curve, helping millions of businesses easily learn and adopt automation best practices from companies that are succeeding and thriving.

Small businesses are increasingly dependent on automation to remain competitive and access the global marketplace. The growth of ecommerce in particular has created new opportunities for small product sellers, as online sales during this past holiday season increased 104% on average for small businesses compared to last year. As increased growth can lead to new complexities, automation has emerged as a significant opportunity for small businesses to grow at scale. In fact, 88% of small businesses say that automation enables their company to compete with larger businesses – assuming that they effectively navigate a multitude of technologies and tools.

“One of the most pressing challenges for small and emerging ecommerce sellers is picking the right apps, integrations, and sales channels for their ambitions and business requirements,” said Doug LaBahn, Chief Marketing Officer, Cin7. “There are literally hundreds of apps and integration choices and over a million different combinations of sales channels and app stacks that sellers could use. It’s a mind-bending challenge to understand, and fantastic for your business if you pick the winning choice out of the million options – and it’s disastrous and costly for businesses who make poor choices.”

The pre-built tech stacks for small product sellers empower them to instantly see and adopt the best practices ideal for their level of business maturity, using big data from 8,000 customers and 14,000 businesses in total. The result is a defined, easy to follow and cost effective automation best practices for product sellers. Now, product sellers can have their technology roadmap for under $100 from Cin7 Orderhive, including expert coaching and assistance to move up the automation staircase with greater ease, confidence, and success.

“For the last two years, we’ve studied the performance of product selling eCommerce businesses to identify what technologies the highest performing sellers are using and their technology roadmap for adding automations over time,” said Trevor Leybourne, Chief Technology Officer, Cin7. “This technology roadmap embodying best practices for product sellers is a reflection of a consistent pipeline of innovation that we’re applying on behalf of our customers. We look forward to integrating data and insights for our customer’s benefit, which will continue to accelerate as we integrate best-in-class capabilities for Cin7, DEAR Systems and Cin7 Orderhive.”

“Cin7 Orderhive knows what product sellers need,” said Robin Marahatta, Founder of Himalayan Bazaar. “Yes, when you have twenty-plus sales channels, it is not going to be easy to configure everything in five minutes – but the software is so good that it is self-explanatory and the support is fabulous. Now I can automate the mundane tasks and focus on the real stuff. The pricing is also great, and their plans point out exactly what we should use – making it even easier for us.”

To learn more about the roadmap, please see here for more details and information.

Cin7 and Intuit Innovate to Help Businesses Move to the Cloud, Add Channels and Thrive https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-and-intuit-innovate-to-help-businesses-move-to-the-cloud-add-channels-and-thrive/ https://www.cin7.com/newsroom/cin7-and-intuit-innovate-to-help-businesses-move-to-the-cloud-add-channels-and-thrive/#respond Wed, 27 Apr 2022 18:19:33 +0000 https://www.cin7.com/?post_type=newsroom&p=32009 First-of-its-kind software bundle combines accounting with inventory management to support modern multichannel product selling

Cin7, a pioneer in cloud-based inventory management software (IMS), today announced a new strategic product bundle with Intuit, the global technology platform that makes QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mint, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp. This broadened collaboration and innovative product suite bundle of the two systems makes it very simple and affordable to move from desktop software to the cloud.

The need for product sellers to expand sales channels has escalated quickly in the wake of COVID-19. Yet the more channels a company adds, the more complex and difficult it becomes to navigate getting products to consumers especially when they are using desktop and older technologies. In response, as businesses move to the cloud, they are looking for cloud-native software stacks and integrations to help them scale with confidence.

The deepened collaboration between Cin7 DEAR and Intuit will further enable product sellers to take advantage of connecting their cloud accounting software with a robust cloud inventory management solution, helping to avoid legacy ERP systems and grow channels at scale. Customers have the ability to choose several strong components to add to the bundle of QuickBooks and DEAR to create a more manageable, efficient, and cost-effective stack. They will also receive exclusive offers, expanded services, and derive additional value, on the foundation of a strong integration that builds off a decade of cloud-native technology proven to support accelerated business growth.

“The last two years have vastly accelerated the need for businesses to make and sell products in multiple locations and across sales channels,” said Doug LaBahn, Cin7’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Businesses with legacy technology and desktop-based software are really struggling, whereas businesses running in the cloud are growing 10 times faster. Our close collaboration with Intuit makes it very easy for every product business to move online with this first-of-its-kind software bundle.”

“Intuit is committed to accelerating the move of mid-market businesses to the cloud,” said Bobby Morrison, Intuit’s Chief Revenue Officer. “The best way to speed digital transformation is to work closely with proven solutions like Cin7 and their strong product suites. With an especially strong integration to QuickBooks Online, we’re making complex business operations far more efficient and scalable.”

Exploring cloud solutions can help businesses to optimize selling on more channels, open new revenue streams, and save time and money. To learn more about the Cin7 and Intuit partnership and other multi-channel, inventory management solutions, please visit: https://www.cin7.com/new-bundle/

Company of the Year is the most prestigious of the Hi-Tech awards, an annual event run by the New Zealand Hi-Tech Trust. Cin7 is in great company, with fellow nominees including Kami, Pushpay, and Seequent.

“We’re absolutely stoked to be named as a finalist for Company of the Year,” says David Leach, Cin7 CEO. “It’s a real testament to how far we’ve come over the years, and it’s a credit to the work of our team and the rich, collaborative culture we’ve created.”

“This year’s finalists span the full spectrum of the high tech sector across New Zealand, and the level of innovative tech products and solutions continues to astound us all.
